Prompt, proactive, and results-oriented – these characteristics define DivinaLaw’s dynamic lawyering, which has catapulted the firm into a top-tier legal service provider and one of the Philippines’ top-10 legal firms.

A full-service law firm, DivinaLaw’s competent pool of 54 lawyers possesses diverse legal expertise, strong networking and top educational pedigree. Its promising associates are hand-picked from the country’s best law schools.

“We treat clients’ problems and challenges as our own and explore unchartered territories to provide solutions to our clients,” says Nilo Divina, founder and managing partner.

DivinaLaw’s commitment to always go the extra mile has earned it accolades. Its founder was recognised this year as Managing Partner of the Year by the ACQ Global Awards, which also awarded the firm as Philippine Law Firm of the Year, Corporate Law Firm of the Year, and Litigation Law Firm of the Year.

DivinaLaw was also bestowed the country’s Banking Law Firm of the Year for 2017 and Corporate Law Firm of the Year for 2016 by Corporate LiveWire Awards; Labor and Employment Law Firm of the Year for 2016 by Asian Legal Business Philippine Law Awards; and the country’s Investment Law Firm of the Year for 2016 and 2017 and Commercial Litigation Law Firm for 2017 by Corporate INTL Magazine.

We aim to address the needs of domestic companies wanting to do business in Singapore, and Singapore companies wanting to have a presence in the Philippines

DivinaLaw has represented domestic and international clients from banking and finance to realty and property development, health care, transport and maritime operations. For its litigation services, the firm specialises in alternative dispute resolution and arbitration, labour and family law, and naturalisation and immigration services. Its corporate and special projects services cover mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, power generation and energy, foreign investment, environmental laws and intellectual property.

DivinaLaw is primed to provide more flexible services to international clients. It is the sole Philippine member of international networks Legalink and Lawyers Associated Worldwide.

For its initial overseas foray, the firm established a corporate services arm in Singapore last year. The office will soon open into a full-service branch offering corporate, commercial and arbitration-related services, particularly on cross-border investments within Southeast Asia. DivinaLaw also plans to put up a Hong Kong subsidiary.

“We aim to address the needs of domestic companies wanting to do business in Singapore, and Singapore companies wanting to have a presence in the Philippines,” Divina says. “We also plan to provide outsourcing services to local law firms in Singapore and Hong Kong for their legal requirements.”

DivinaLaw targets becoming one of the country’s top-five law firms and increasing its team to 75 lawyers in the next five years. “Our competence, connection and credibility will secure our future success,” Divina says.
