Water management is becoming an increasingly crucial issue facing Asia’s developing nations amid burgeoning manufacturing and construction activities combined with massive population growth. With its expertise in environmental engineering and fibreglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) technology, Thai company Fibertech is offering a comprehensive range of environmental solutions to tackle the region’s mounting water-related challenges.

In operation for more than 30 years, Fibertech is highly regarded for its BIOTECH wastewater treatment system that can be fitted into any type of building. This high-efficiency water treatment system brings together the strengths of biological and mechanical processes and FRP material engineering. The company also supplies a range of FRP-based water storage systems, and custom-built FRP products such as architecture work pipes and aquaculture and chemical storage tanks. It supplements its product portfolio with engineering support in design and installation in addition to maintenance services.

“Central to our growth is the knowledge and expertise we’ve accumulated by specialising on water-management applications of FRP,” says Kittisak Tangsiri, managing director. “We continue to invest in research and development to innovate and provide the best products in the market.”

Working with a network of designers and contractors, Fibertech exports its FRP products to Central and Southeast Asia. Its solid quality reputation has enabled it to secure major deals in the region, including the selection of the BIOTECH wastewater treatment system for Shell’s Malampaya gas processing plant in the Philippines, and water storage tanks for NTPC’s Nam Theun 2 hydropower plant in Laos.

Fibertech aims to further broaden its presence in Asia and is looking for a distributor in Vietnam with good market knowledge and strong engineering expertise. It also plans to set up a production base in Cambodia and is keen on working with a reputable local partner.

“We assure our potential partners and customers that when they come to us, they will not only get reasonably priced, quality products, but they will receive a total solution for their water management needs,” Kittisak says.
