Queen to make their Hong Kong debut in September
Beloved British rock band visiting the city on a tour of Asia that also takes in the mainland, Thailand, Singapore and Japan
Rock legends Queen will be making their first ever appearance in Hong Kong this September.
The British band – best known for rock anthems such as We Are the Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody – lost singer Freddie Mercury to Aids-related illness in 1991, and are now fronted by Adam Lambert, who rose to fame in 2009 as a contestant on American Idol.
Queen members Roger Taylor and Brian May appeared as guests on American Idol and performed the classic We Are the Champions with him, performing their first full concert with him in Kiev in 2012.
Tickets to the September 28 show at AsiaWorld-Expo cost from HK$580 to HK$2,380 and go on sale via HK Ticketing on June 24.
Queen’s Asia tour will also visit Japan, Singapore, Thailand and mainland China, and two more cities will be announced shortly.
