Hongkongers' sense of Chinese identity falls to 14-year low

A survey by University of Hong Kong's Popular Opinion Programme has found the percentage of Hongkongers identifying themselves as "Chinese" at the lowest level in 14 years. Thirty-eight per cent of the 1,055 people polled identified themselves as "Hongkongers," with 23 per cent saying they were "Chinese."

I wonder why?
It's about time people with a sense of dignity and pride to wake up to separate themselves far away from those that defecate indiscriminately not to mention other perturbed behaviors that tarnished reputation of true Chinese (Hong Kongers). Pseudo patriotism is for hypocrites.
