Icon of the Year 2013: Meet the people who made waves this year

Hong Kong Television Network chief Ricky Wong Wai-kay led the poll this year, while the teacher who stood up to police over anti-riot tactics in Mong Kok Alpais Lam Wai-sze snagged Woman of the Year. Other icons such as Edward Snowden and even the Rubber Duck also made the cut.

Icon of the Year 2013: Meet the people who made waves this year

A total of 21,071 voted online for eight categories in RTHK's Icon of the Year, an annual survey conducted by RTHK Radio 2. With the effort of fighting for free-to-air television licence, Hong Kong Television Network chief Ricky Wong Wai-kay led the poll this year, while he teacher who stood up to police over anti-riot tactics in Mong Kok Alpais Lam Wai-sze snagged Woman of the Year. Other popular icons such as Edward Snowden and even the Rubber Duck also made the cut.
