Visiting Chinese state leader Zhang Dejiang is a long proponent of an economic zone linking nine provinces in Southern China with Hong Kong and Macau – The Pan-Pearl River Delta Region. Together with the mainland, and key neighboring countries, HK is designated as a connector for the One Belt One Road initiative.
