Zuma's Dead Not Alive party for Halloween a thriller
As Halloween parties go, online artist community Alive Not Dead's annual Dead Not Alive party is the most hotly anticipated event of the year.
It's a time to leave the kids at home, as the bash is decidedly adult, with boozy goblins and naughty ghouls heating up the dance floor. This year's event, on Saturday, was no exception.
The party, at Zuma in Central, went on until 4am. But by 2am, things were already getting decidedly loose, with bouncers and bar staff carrying out the limp corpses of exhausted and passed-out revellers. Spooky!
The greatest draw is the over-the-top costumes, and this year was no exception. Celebrities and VIP guests such as Andy On Chi-kit, Kary Ng Yu-fei and Angela Au Man-sze pulled out all the stops. But for many the favourite costumes of the night were those mimicking Daenerys Targaryen and her Dothraki warlord husband Khal Drogo from the television series Game of Thrones.
On the lighter side, peacocks seemed a popular choice of outfit. Two birds were spotted preening and posturing, keeping well away from the veritable army of seductive cats, who seemed to make up a quarter of the crowd.
The great music and packed dance floor kept any feathers from getting ruffled. As usual, the event drew an impressive array of talented DJs, including DJ Fly from France and one of Japan's hottest rappers, Verbal, from the duo m-flo. All in all a scarily good Halloween bash.
