Fashion lovers, rock fans and Britophiles packed into Watermark at the Star Ferry pier on Friday night for Fred Perry's 60th anniversary bash. The crowd formed a sea of softly clashing tweeds and plaids as they bobbed and shook to hits by The Clash, The Rolling Stones and other standard bearers for the British rock 'n' roll aesthetic that Fred Perry has come to embody.

Plenty of celebs dropped by to wish the fashion brand their best. Paul Wong Koon-chung, the solo rocker and lead guitarist of Beyond, made an appearance, as well as Canto-pop singer songwriter Chau Pak-ho and songstress, actress and model Ella Koon Yun-na.

Champagne flowed freely and by the time the real bands took the stage the audience was ready to cut loose. They got their chance with Poubelle International, who didn't hold back and got right to it with their trademark irreverent pop. The band was in good spirits, giddy in anticipation of the launch of their new single the next day, but fans who were hoping to hear a sneak preview were disappointed as the band mostly stuck to old favourites.

After Poubelle International, Chochukmo took the stage and helped everyone mellow out a bit.
