My New Year's resolution for 2012 was to give something back to the community. My gallery started the Jewels 4 Good online jewellery auction to help local charities such as the Hong Kong Refugee Advice Centre and Mother's Choice. It has been a valuable experience getting to know more about these charities and being able to help a little. This project remains my ongoing mission to help raise awareness of small and medium-sized charities in Hong Kong.

Our New Year's resolution this year is to never make resolutions - and we intend to keep it. We have kept some of our resolutions over the years, such as to always work hard to advance our careers. We don't make a list any more because we want to try to make it a daily thing. Instead of resolutions, we set goals every week.

I had lots of wishes this time last year and luckily some of them came true. My adorable and healthy baby came into this world six months ago and she has the same blue eyes I have. Also, I opened the first shops in Asia for Maje and Sandro, which are my favourite French brands. For the year to come, I hope to spend more time with my lovely kids and husband. I would love to travel to Sri Lanka with my family. It seems like an amazing country because of the beautiful natural environment, with the rare animals, trees and flowers, plus a very interesting culture and history.

At any moment my wardrobe was going to topple over and spill out all my clothes - some of which still had price tags on them. So last year, I was forced to make a New Year's resolution to be kind to my wardrobe. I kept only what I wore regularly and donated half of the remaining wardrobe to a cancer foundation's clothes shop. I had more space in my wardrobe - no more crinkled shirts and trousers - and the clothes went to a good cause. The second half of the unused wardrobe will go this year.

My wish for this year came true just last month, with the launch of AB Concept's first book - The Language of Luxe. The book is a collection of our design portfolio, from the W hotel in Bali to the Mandarin Oriental Singapore. It is a testament to our team's hard work over the past decade and it feels great to know we will finally see it in bookstores this month.
