I wished for good health and happiness this time last year, and it came true. I lost 25kg in 2012. I went on a well-calculated calorie-count diet and worked out six days a week. I did it because I realised I was too big and not in a healthy condition. Now I feel the biggest challenge is to maintain this weight during the festive season, with all the temptation of cake, turkey and chocolates.

I've had a really bad habit since the age of four of twirling my hair when I feel nervous. About eight years ago, I was competing in the Miss Chinese International beauty pageant (which she won) and realised it was time to kick the habit. It became my New Year's resolution and I got my sister to help me. I gave my sister HK$2 every time I twirled my hair and it added up to a small fortune. So I eventually quit because I didn't want to give my sister so much money.
