Karen Mok gets all jazzed up at New Year's Eve countdown in Nanjing

It's one of the busiest times of the year for those in showbiz, and that was certainly the case for Karen Mok Man-wai.

The singer-actress found herself in five cities over just a few days, clocking 5,000 kilometres in air travel.

She was in Hong Kong, Taipei, Tianjin and Beijing for performances, and spent New Year's Eve counting down with her fans in Nanjing.

Mok sang a number of her hits rearranged as jazz songs. The stage was designed to resemble the Paramount jazz club of Shanghai in the 1930s, and to spice things up, Mok flaunted her curves while singing on top of a piano.

With her first English-language jazz album planned for release this month, Mok said her New Year's wish was for the album to be a huge success.

"Now I am preparing for the concert tour to celebrate my 20th anniversary in show business," she said. "I really hope my singer and actor friends can join me and share the bliss."
