With plenty of food and drink being stockpiled for celebrations over the festive season, the Foodlink Foundation hosted a seasonal fundraising event as a timely reminder that not everyone is this fortunate.
The charity, established in 2001, collects and delivers unwanted food to people in need. In co-operation with the iu Movie & Lifestyle Club and Movie Movie Channel, Foodlink held a charity screening of Les Miserables starring Hollywood heavyweights such as Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway.
The event, which took place on December 20 at the AMC Pacific Place cinema, attracted a bevy of celebrities and socialites, including Hsieh Ling-ling, Joyce Ma and Bonnae Gokson.
Model turned television presenter Lisa Selesner, although expecting her first baby, was MC at the pre-screening cocktail party.
Singer Li-Tong Hsu, who played the lead role in Miss Saigon on its European tour last year, performed an excerpt from the musical version of Les Miserables at the party.
