Fashion has gone peekaboo this season with a look that's sexy yet understated. Designers play tricks on the eye with clothes that show just a hint of skin. At Stella McCartney see-through fabrics appeared everywhere from sexy panels on dresses to the shoes, which feature Lucite platforms. For a more feminine look, layering was key as lightweight chiffon, organza and silk veil the body in light colours like white and sky blue.

On the other end of the spectrum, the look is fierce as futuristic materials like plastic, Lucite and PVC are moulded into clothing and accessories. Emilio Pucci's clear trench is both playful and chic, while Burberry and Marc by Marc Jacobs featured see-through bags that showed off more than your style prowess. The real winner, however, was Valentino who showed studded clear clutches and see-through Cinderella slippers that had all the editors swooning. One thing's for sure - plastic is definitely fantastic this spring.
