Covet: Animal prints

The pre-collections have just landed in stores and offer shoppers a taste of the biggest trends for the coming season. Designers have added their own twist to this perennial winter favourite.

At Lanvin (left), Alber Elbaz created a collection that mixes nature and classicism with plenty of wild prints including zebra stripes, dark leopard spots and tiger stripes on calf leather coats and

T-shirt dresses.

Phillip Lim played with digital effects to create a series of leopard-print accessories.

Elsewhere, leopard print was taken to new glamorous heights thanks to embellishments such as beads and studs.
