What could be better on a hot summer's day than a delicious helping (or two!) of ice cream? Of course, you can buy it in a tub from the supermarket, or have some to round off a meal or as a snack at a restaurant or cafe. But there's nothing more satisfying than making your own at home - and it needn't be at all difficult, as these recipes from senior food and wine editor Susan Jung show. This makes far more popcorn than you'll need for the sundaes, but the rest makes a good snack; just store it in an airtight container and eat it quickly
