Angelini restaurant at the Kowloon Shangri-La in Tsim Sha Tsui will have a Pio Cesare wine dinner on October 8. The five-course dinner is HK$1,480 plus 10 per cent, and includes squid ink risotto with raw cuttlefish, fava beans and bottarga, paired with the Pio Cesare Barbaresco vintages 2010 and 2004; while the main course of slow-cooked beef cheek with celeriac purée, leeks and black truffle sauce is served with the winery’s Barolo 2010 and Barolo Ornato vintages 2008 and 2000. Food by East at the East hotel in Taikoo Shing is featuring Terre d’Oc afternoon tea until the end of October. The Terre d’Oc organic selection, which includes apricot pistachio green tea, classic peach and apricot white tea, and herbal tea with apple, caramel and sweet spices, will be served with finger sandwiches, scones and other sweet and savoury dishes. The tea is available Monday to Friday for HK$238 plus 10 per cent for two, with HK$165 charged for each extra person. Bookings: 3968 3777

The JW Cafe at the JW Marriott in Admiralty  has crab dishes on the dinner buffet until October 31. The buffet, which is HK$718 plus 10 per cent (HK$498 for children) Monday to Thursday and HK$788 plus 10 per cent (HK$548 for children) Friday to Sunday and on public holidays, includes dishes of crab shell stuffed with crabmeat and white sauce; typhoon shelter crab; and wok-fried crab meat with curry, onion and chilli. Promenade restaurant at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis in Hung Hom is serving Thai dishes on the dinner buffet until October 31. On the buffet are dishes of raw tiger prawns marinated with lime, fish sauce and chilli; Thai-style fried oyster cake;

The annual Drink for Good fundraising event to help community-based volunteerism takes place on October 8, with more than 60 food and beverage establishments participating by donating a minimum of HK$5 for each drink purchased. The F&B establishments include Alfie’s by Kee, Chachawan,  DiVino  and DiVino Patio,  FoFo by El Willy, Staunton’s Wine Bar + CafeDuddell’sHam & Sherry, and The Butchers Club Burgers in Central and Wan Chai.
