Hong Kong fans of American football can kick back and relax for once: the 2016 Super Bowl - America’s biggest sporting event - falls on the first day of Lunar New Year, so there’s no need to wobble into the office after one too many breakfast beers.

We’ve rounded up a few Hong Kong restaurants serving breakfast on Monday, when the action between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos kicks off at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, at 7.30am Hong Kong time. You’ll need to book tables soon, though – places are going fast.

Executive chef Vinny Lauria’s Super Bowl spread includes sausage and peppers with chilli mostarda, New York-style cheese and pepperoni pizza, mini meatballs and build-your-own Italian sub sandwich with cold cuts and cheese, pickled vegetables and condiments, all for just HK$298 per person.
