Gaddi's at The Peninsula hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is serving a special Pont des Arts set dinner until October 14. Pont des Arts is a blend of art and wine, with labels of paintings by Zao Wou-ki. The five-course dinner includes pan-fried duck liver with roasted fig and balsamic vinegar served with Pont des Arts Bordeaux Rive Droite 2010, and roasted pigeon with muscovado sugar crust and stuffed pigeon leg paired with Pont des Arts Grand Vin de Bourgogne Reserve Speciale Nuits-Saint-Georges 2010. Israeli chef Michael Erlik will cook a special dinner on October 9 at CulinArt in Aberdeen. The dinner, which is HK$680 plus 10 per cent, includes starters such as red lentil soup with crisp onions; roasted aubergine and baked garlic spread; and purple beet tahini; and grilled main courses of chicken thigh in preserved lemon marinade; lamb kebabs with mint-yogurt sauce; and beef rib eye in a ras el hanout spice mix. Yvon Madec, whose family has been breeding oysters in Brittany since 1898, will be at Cafe Deco on The Peak for an oyster tasting on Saturday from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Guests will have the chance to taste three types of the Prat-Ar-Coum oysters, plus wines, French cheeses and other dishes. The event is HK$329. Bookings: 2563 8871

The Sen-ryo chain of kaiten sushi restaurants is featuring sanma at all eight of its outlets until the end of October. The fish, also called Pacific saury, is at its best in the autumn months. It comes as sushi, sashimi (left) or grilled with salt.

The Regal Hongkong Hotel in Causeway Bay has lobster on its dinner buffet at Cafe Rivoli. Dishes include lobster curry; lobster wonton noodles in soup (above right); stir-fried lobster with black pepper sauce and fresh lobster and linguine with cherry tomato sauce. The dinner buffet is HK$408 plus 10 per cent (HK$298 for children) Monday to Thursday and HK$438 plus 10 per cent (HK$318 for children) Friday to Sunday and the evening before and day of public holidays.
