The Steak House Winebar + Grill at the InterContinental in Tsim Sha Tsui will have a dinner on Tuesday featuring the wines of Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron, the second-growth wines from Pauillac. The four-course dinner includes roasted US filet mignon and braised beef cheek with poached short ribs and celeriac purée with Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 1998 in Jeroboam (three litres) and the 1999 in Nebuchadnezzar (15 litres). Also on Tuesday is the Five Nations Wine Challenge gala dinner at the Oasis Room of the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Wan Chai. Master of Wine Bob Campbell will host. Wines from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile and Argentina will be served during the five-course dinner, which costs HK$650. Dishes include truffle risotto with mushrooms and shaved pecorino with Mills Reef Elspeth Merlot 2010 (New Zealand) and Montes Purple Angel Carmenere 2008 (Chile); and roasted beef sirloin with Trapiche Single Vineyard Miralles Malbec 2009 (Argentina) and Polkura Block G+1 Syrah 2009 (Chile). Kaetsu at the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai is featuring Hokkaido scallops until the end of the month. The à la carte selection includes Hokkaido scallop sashimi, Hokkaido scallop teppanyaki (left), and Hokkaido scallops with Japanese shallot, white miso and mustard vinegar sauce. Bookings: 2584 7722

Isola Bar + Grill in Central is serving seasonal porcini mushrooms until November 15. The menu lists porcini pudding, fresh porcini salad, porcini ravioli, wagyu beef cheek braised in Barolo wine and served with porcini and polenta, and wagyu beef tagliata with rucola and slow-cooked porcini. Green's Café at the Harbour Plaza North Point has seafood on the dinner buffet until the end of November. Dishes include lobster thermidor; wok-fried spicy prawns; pan-fried crab with peppercorns; baked scallop with spinach and white wine sauce; and grilled ling fish with polenta and mango salsa (above). The buffet is HK$368 plus 10 per cent (HK$228 for children) Monday to Friday, and HK$388 (HK$248 for children) Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Bookings: 2185 2155
