A chocolate dinner buffet, 20 most famous Chinese dishes, and a new summer tasting menu

Café at the Hyatt Regency in Tsim Sha Tsui has special chocolate dishes on its dinner buffet until the end of June. The selection includes warm white chocolate mousse with raspberry espuma; warm dark chocolate mousse with mango espuma; Amedei No 9 chocolate mousse cake; Valrhona spicy salted chocolate cake; and chocolate raspberry cake with black pepper (above). The Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant at The Royal Garden in Tsim Sha Tsui is celebrating its 20th anniversary by serving 20 of its most famous dishes. Until June 13, the à la carte selection includes wok-fried egg noodles with lobster and scrambled egg white (below); boneless chicken stuffed with minced shrimp in three ways; and double-boiled pig's lung soup with assorted meat. Pierre Gagnaire will be at Pierre restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental from June 15 to 20 to introduce his new summer tasting menus that are available for HK$1,188 plus 10 per cent for five courses, and HK$1,588 for seven. The menu includes fricassee of blue lobster with pink champagne butter, braised lettuce, lobster bisque and parsley chantilly; and heart of beef fillet with sauce Champs-Élysées and slow-simmered shallots and turnips. Essence at the Novotel Citygate in Tung Chung is featuring the cuisines of Indochina in a buffet promotion until June 21. The buffet selection includes chicken, lemon grass and coconut soup; Malaysian prawn noodles; Thai spicy basil beef; Vietnamese pork rice paper spring rolls; and spicy hot and sour soup (below). The lunch buffet is HK$152.60 plus 10 per cent (HK$117.60 for children) Monday to Friday and HK$194.60 (HK$152.60 for children) Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays.
