Meal deals: Krug champagne dinner, oyster buffet, tea and food pairings

Yan Toh Heen at the InterContinental in Tsim Sha Tsui will have a Cantonese food and Krug champagne dinner on July 7. The dinner is HK$2,988 and includes baked lobster with Portuguese sauce (above) paired with the Krug Grand Cuvée NV; wok-fried crab claw with egg white and house-made XO sauce with the Krug Vintage 2000; and wagyu beef roll with mandarin zest and wok-fried minced pigeon with black truffle served with the Krug Clos du Mesnil 2000. Greens Café at Harbour Plaza North Point is featuring oysters on its seafood dinner buffet until the end of June. The buffet selection includes raw oysters on the half shell; pan-fried oyster cake; assorted baked oysters (below); and baby oyster congee. Spring Moon at The Peninsula has a special dinner on July 10: an eight-course Chinese meal cooked by chefs from Peninsula properties in Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Bangkok and of course, Hong Kong. The chefs will travel to Yunnan beforehand to select the ingredients for the dinner. The meal is HK$2,888 plus 10 per cent per person, with tables available for four to 12 people; 20 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry. Prompt at Le Meridien Cyberport in Pok Fu Lam will have a De Bortoli wine and poolside dinner on June 25. Guests can have barbecued seafood, salads and desserts with wines such as the Yarra Valley Estate Grown Shiraz Viognier 2012, and Yarra Valley Estate Grown Pinot Noir 2013. Sing Yin Cantonese Dining at the W hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring Chinese food with MingCha premium teas with an eight-course menu available until the end of June. The pairing includes deluxe combination appetiser plate with jasmine blossom tea from Fuding; and steamed crab claw and egg with Chinese wine (above) with the first flush Longjing from Westland Hangzhou.
