Tokyo Family by filmmaker Yoji Yamada opens in Hong Kong on April 18. The story follows an elderly couple who visit their grown-up children in Tokyo only to find their offspring too busy to spend time with them. Stars Isao Hashizume, Kazuko Yoshiyuki and Masahiko Nishimura.


Dragonair has a new direct flight from Hong Kong to Da Nang, the biggest city on Vietnam's central coast. We visit Unesco heritage site Hoi An during the full moon lantern festival, when the authorities turn off the electricity and the town is lit only by candles.


Kraftwerk are in town for one night on May 4 with their 3-D show. The German electro band impressed with their first visit to the city in 2008 and we expect them to do it again this time.


Cheese addicts can get their fix at the International Cheese Festival at Hullett House and at Armani/ Aqua from April 18-21.Four renowned cheese aficionados are bringing more than 120 French, Italian, Scottish and Dutch varieties to the event that will feature tastings, gourmet dinners and master classes.
