Baked half lobster with cheese at the Harbour Restaurant

The at the Harbourview hotel in Wan Chai is serving lobster dishes on its dinner buffet until the end of the month. Each guest will receive a baked half lobster with cheese (pictured above), while the buffet selection includes lobster congee with bamboo pith and dried conpoy; steamed egg with lobster and bird's nest; and lobster bisque. The buffet is HK$378 plus 10 per cent Monday to Thursday (HK$348 for seniors 65 and above, and HK$288 for children aged three-11); and HK$408 plus 10 per cent from Friday to Sunday (HK$368 for seniors and HK$298 for children). Alain Soliveres, chef of the Michelin two-star Taillevent in Paris, will be guest chef at at the Island Shangri-La hotel in Admiralty from July 2-6. His dishes, available as a two- , three- and four-course set lunch (HK$488 plus 10 per cent, HK$558 or HK$658) and four-, six- and eight-course set dinners (HK$1,180 plus 10 per cent, HK$1,480 or HK$1,680) include blue crab remoulade with dill and lemon cream (pictured above); steamed Brittany sea bass with leeks, caviar and champagne; and traditional Taillevent duck pie with Rouennaise sauce. Robert Comte, winemaker and owner of the premier cru La Truffière in Burgundy, France, will host a dinner on June 20 at restaurant at The Mira hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The six-course dinner includes Mieral pigeon with cranberries, beetroot and wasabi paired with La Truffière Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 2008; and black truffle dark chocolate with whisky and salty honey with the winery's Chassagne-Montrachet La Maltroye 2009.
