Elderly owners the Tangs might not speak fluent English, but they are eager to help. From goggle-shaped sunglasses to the antique round specs made famous by China's last emperor Puyi, many have been personally collected by the owners. And because they own the shop, the Tangs are spared the city's exorbitant rents. A quick rummage through the shelves will often uncover a famous brand much cheaper than at regular stores.
