Champion Spanish ham cutter Manuel Anselmo Perez will be demonstrating his skills with Iberico ham at Green restaurant, Hotel Icon, Tsim Sha Tsui, until August 10. The hand-sliced ham is available on the tapas menu, and one of the courses in the four-course tasting dinner (HK$388 plus 10 per cent), which also includes a main course choice of paella marina, slow-cooked pork belly, or braised wagyu beef cheek and ox tongue. Grissini at the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai is serving the cuisine of Sardinia until the end of August. Dishes such as Sardinian-style stewed drunken lobster with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and saffron; and marinated Mediterranean tuna with fresh herbs and roasted bell peppers (pictured) are available à la carte, and on the four-course set menu (HK$800 plus 10 per cent, or HK$1,300 with the wine pairing). Whisk restaurant at The Mira Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring Tasmanian black truffles until the end of August. The dishes are available à la carte or on a five-course set (HK$1,100 plus 10 per cent) and include escargot with black truffle, mushrooms and pink pepper; young potato with black truffle, linum and burnt onions (pictured); and black truffle with dark chocolate, whisky, honey cress and salty honey. Café Allegro at the Regal Kowloon hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui has Thai and Vietnamese dishes on the dinner menu until the end of August. The selection includes sautéed crab with yellow curry (pictured); grilled pork neck with spicy and sour sauce; tom yum kung; and Vietnamese beef soup noodles.
