The Ritz-Carlton at the ICC in Tsim Sha Tsui is serving a special Dom Perignon tasting menu at the Chef's Table on the 102nd floor. The five-course menu, available until the end of November, includes scallops, citrus fruit ceviche, black truffle and beets paired with the Dom Perignon 2003; spinach shoots, truffle and ricotta with the Dom Perignon Oenotheque 1996; and veal medallion, parsnip, fondant potato and mushroom crisp (pictured) with the Dom Perignon Rosé 2002. Guest chefs from the Grand Hyatt Seoul will be cooking at the Café at the Hyatt Regency in Sha Tin in a promotion that runs until November 10. Dishes, available on the lunch and dinner buffets, include glass-noodle salad with assorted seafood; soft bean curd soup with prawns, vegetables and mushrooms; and grilled beef short ribs (pictured). The lunch buffet costs HK$288 (HK$144 for children) from Monday to Friday, and HK$368 (HK$184 for children) on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The dinner buffet is HK$458 (HK$229 for children) from Monday to Thursday, and HK$518 (HK$259 for children) - all plus 10 per cent - from Friday to Sunday and the eve and day of public holidays. The annual German Bierfest at the Marco Polo starts on October 25 and runs until November 16. The celebration, in an open-air marquee, includes a special Oktoberfestbier (of which only 200 glasses are available each night), live music and food. City Café at The Cityview hotel in Yau Ma Tei is featuring sea urchin and sea grapes on the dinner buffet until the end of October. The selection includes sea grapes with grilled eel; sea grapes with pickled turnip and Iberico ham; sea urchin, sea grape and crab meat shooter (right); sea urchin with ankimo (monkfish liver) and bean curd; and sea urchin with thinly sliced wagyu beef. The hotel is offering a discount to those who download coupons from the hotel's Facebook page (facebook.com/thecityviewhk). With the discount, the dinner buffet is HK$328 plus 10 per cent from Monday to Thursday (HK$308 for seniors and HK$248 for children).
