Style confessions: musician and fashion magpie Natalie Belbin

Bass player for the band Tigerbombers, this Lamma-living Hongkonger with Anglo-Thai heritage has a closet packed with vintage, and every piece tells its own tale

Having lived in Australia's Blue Mountains and the Serengeti in Tanzania, coming back to Hong Kong was tough. When I moved to Lamma in 2009, I felt like I could breathe again. Here I have a garden, and my gorgeous dog, Jolene.

This is from a favourite store of mine in Hong Kong, Monki in Langham Place. It's especially nice to wear on a sunny day.

I found this in a vintage flea market in Sydney. I'm in love with the colours and the pattern. It's really comfortable and perfect for these crisp mornings.

This is made by Saint James and I think it comes from Select 18. What I love about it is that it feels like it has a story all of its own. I can imagine a strong, independent woman carrying this around town.

I picked this up when I was travelling through Myanmar. The colour was striking and it opens up beautifully. During the cooler months, when the sun is out, I love to sit beneath it with a good book and a cup of coffee. The sun's rays warm up the papery fabric and it gives off a satisfying glow.
