Yu Lei at the Harbourfront Landmark in Hung Hom is serving a 10-course Chinese feast that costs HK$6,000 plus 10 per cent per person. For that price, you get dishes of the chef's signature appetiser platter; braised 33-heads whole Yoshihama abalone with black moss in abalone sauce; wok-fried flounder fillet with snow fungus and deep-fried ankimo (monkfish liver) with flounder fillet in matsutake sauce; rice paper roll with wagyu and foie gras; and steamed fried rice with chestnuts, matsutake and pine nuts. The menu includes dishes of grilled Kyushu saury with salt; Nanbanzuke-style Kyushu saury (battered, deep-fried then served with sauce); and country-style Kyushu saury— fried then simmered with mushrooms and shredded radish. Palm Court Western Restaurant at the Metropark Hotel Kowloon has sea urchin, bird's nest and seafood in its dinner buffet until the end of September. The buffet selection includes bird's nest soup, tuna tataki and stir-fried crab with garlic. The buffet is HK$368 plus 10 per cent (HK$238 for children, HK$318 for seniors) Monday to Thursday, and HK$398 plus 10 per cent (HK$258 for children and HK$348 for seniors) Friday to Sunday.
