Favourite Hong Kong restaurants of Cecilia Yee, Flight Centre marketing manager

I'm quite an adventurous eater. When I travel, I normally research restaurants to go to. I also check out street food and markets. Some of my friends find it odd that I plan my itinerary based on restaurants and food.

I'm quite an adventurous eater. When I travel, I normally research restaurants to go to. I also check out street food and markets. Some of my friends find it odd that I plan my itinerary based on restaurants and food.

Among my favourite places are (33 Bridges Street, Central, tel: 2547 9273) for its yakitori, (69 Stone Nullah Lane, Wan Chai, tel: 3182 0128) for the mac'n'cheese and smoked cauliflower, and (22 Ship Street, Wan Chai, tel: 2555 0722) for just about everything.

You'll also find me in (206 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, tel: 2549 0020). The food is always consistent. I also go to (6 Pound Lane, Sheung Wan, tel: 3426 3949) just because it's near my place. One place I am trying to check out is chef Que Vinh Dang's new joint, (28/F, 235-239 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, tel: 2554 0888).

It's not really a secret spot, but I like (shop 7, Food Market, 1 Queen Street, Sheung Wan, tel: 9278 8227). Also, the (2/F Wing Cheong Building, 18-20 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, tel: 2811 2360) is a good option for Thai.

For visitors, where I take them depends on their preference. If they're adventurous and want something super local, then I'll take them to dim sum places in Yau Ma Tei. Otherwise, I take friends to (several locations including 68 Yee Woo Street, Causeway Bay, tel: 3160 8998) or (2/F City Hall, Central, tel: 2521 1303). On a sunny weekend, I would take them to Lamma Island for a seafood lunch.

For lunch I try to be healthy so I usually make my own, but for quick bites, I like (92 Wellington Street, Central, tel: 2851 1611). When I visit our store in Wan Chai, I go to (Rialto Building, 2 Landale Street, tel: 2528 2083) and I drop in at (2 Anton Street, tel: 2529 1682) for a flat white and a bagel.

As a travel expert, San Sebastian, Spain, is the place I most love for food — hands down. I do a pintxos crawl in the afternoon followed by dinner at (Aldura Aldea 20, 20100 Errenteria, Guipúzcoa, tel: +34 943 52 24 55) or (Av Alcalde Elósegui 273, 20015 San Sebastián-Donostia, Guipúzcoa, tel: +34 943 27 84 65).

But my perfect day would be to have breakfast anywhere in Australia. They know breakfast. Follow that with lunch at (45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, tel: +61 3 9650 1445) or, if I'm in London, (Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, 66 Knightsbridge, tel: +44 20 7201 3833).
