Summer has made her presence felt and getting a sun-kissed glow seems a seasonal necessity.
Beauty brands from around the world offer an array of products geared towards men who love the sun but want to steer clear of damage from its harmful rays.
BB Cream Instant Great Skin All-In-One Fluid from French beauty brand Biotherm Homme evens the complexion while obscuring blemishes and blackheads. With ingredients such as salicylic acid, titanium dioxide and glycerine, the SPF 50 cream hydrates the skin and defends it against UV and pollution.
Besides protecting the skin from sunburn, American skincare brand Clinique's Skin Supplies for Men Age Defense Hydrator SPF 15 aims to restore its natural barrier, which can be compromised due to daily shaving.
With Vitamin C and peptides that help repair collagen as well as a combination of sunscreens such as avobenzone, Age Defense Hydrator is allergy-tested and compatible with all skin types.
Swiss skincare brand La Prairie's new Sun Protection Emulsion Face SPF 30 features porphyra umbilicalis, a red algae that resides in shallow waters or on the beach, and which provides protection from damage caused by the sun's rays.
Glycerine and sodium hyaluronate keep the skin hydrated while a combination of ginseng extracts, horsetail and glycol proteins nourishes the skin and helps its renewal process.
With inspirations such as the honey bee and Hippocrates' holistic approach, Apivita is a skincare brand from Greece that specialises in products made from natural raw materials.
Its new suncare collection includes Light Texture Face Cream, an SPF 30 fluid ideal for male skin and those with oily-combination skin. Horse chestnut, licorice and Vitamins B3 and B7 help regulate sebum secretion.
Sun Block Oil-Free SPF 35 from Korean beauty brand Laneige features an oil-free formula that provides a matte finish and a silicon polymer that hides pores.
Its ingredients also include clove oil and herb extracts that help control sebum secretion and soothe the skin.
