Stylist Dickey Blue turns to a beachy product to create summertime tresses

This issue of is all about summer, so it seems only fitting that hairstylist Dickey Blue's favourite product is saltwater spray. "Especially for the summer and for Hong Kong, because it's so humid," he says. "Saltwater will keep your hair dry and not too oily."

Blue used the spray - available from the likes of Bumble and Bumble and Frederic Fekkai - on model Gerda to create bouncy, natural waves for our windblown cover shot. He opted for other easy-to-manage styles to complement the latest fashions from brands such as Lanvin and Gucci.

Make-up artist Megumi Sekine completed the looks with spring-summer products from M.A.C, Estée Lauder and Le Métier de Beauté. "Today we're focusing more on the hair, so I just wanted to play up one feature - the lips," she says. "That's why I used red lipstick to give it a punch." Tama Lung
