Skip the buffet
Lana Lam
If you can figure out the maze that is Harbour City, you're in luck. Despite hiding the à la carte menu under the lure of a buffet, take the to-order option. The steak tartare (HK$208) is one of the city's finest, while the chicken liver parfait (HK$188) with raspberries worked well. The buffalo mozzarella with vine tomatoes (HK$198) transported me to summers backpacking in Italy. The fish pie (HK$208) was an understated thing of beauty. The Hainan chicken with ginger rice (HK$198) is dependable. The crème brûlée (HK$98) was not too eggy, while the baked Alaska (HK$88) was style over substance. Separating à la carte diners from the buffet clientele could help bring in the customers the restaurant deserves.
