The Rainbow Club sandwich at C'est La B in Pacific Place

Healthy bites

Bernice Chan

C'est la B has expanded from Tai Hang to Pacific Place, offering healthy dishes but also sinful treats.

The supermodel salad (HK$85) is a hearty dish with bocconcini, avocado, fennel, roasted pepperoni, tomato, radish, chopped egg white, salad greens and drizzled with pumpkin, sesame, poppy and flaxseed.

We were taken by the rainbow club (HK$125), a triple-deck sandwich of bamboo charcoal, beetroot and saffron breads holding French ham, cheese, omelette, avocado and roast chicken. Chinese chicken bolognaise (HK$108) featured egg noodles with a slightly spicy sauce while jiaozi (HK$80), pan-fried dumplings, had a curry filling accompanied by mango chutney.

For afternoon tea (HK$380 for two), there are three tiers of delicious bites, including sandwiches, jiaozi and desserts such as lemon and poppy seed chiffon, vanilla bean cheesecake with sour Queen Anne cherries, French vanilla panna cotta and the sinful caramel toffee chocolate mousse. Drinks include freshly made vegetable and fruit juices.
