Morton's of Chicago - The Steakhouse
4/F, Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, 20 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, 2732 2343

American steakhouse.

Enjoy fantastic, panoramic views of Victoria Harbour from the fourth floor of the Sheraton Hotel. The restaurant has minimalistic, contemporary New York-inspired décor.

Business associates or a date.

HK$2,500 for two including one cocktail each and a shared dessert.

As one of the top steak restaurants in Hong Kong, Morton's delivers. I started off with a Ginger Lychee Mortini which had Ketel One Vodka with Crème de Gingembre Liqueur, Ruby Red Grapefruit juice and lychees. For starters, we had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake (pictured) with mustard mayonnaise sauce which had nice, chunky pieces of crab. We also shared the near-perfect baked five-onion soup and centre-cut iceberg salad with chopped egg, tomato and bacon drenched in Morton's signature blue cheese dressing. For mains, I chose the tasty signature cut prime New York strip while my companion ordered the mixed grill with 6oz filet mignon with grilled shrimp and bacon wrapped scallop which was a great option. To finish, we had the Morton's legendary hot chocolate cake and a coffee.

Sitting next to the open kitchen, I smelled like cooked meat due to a broken fan. But, I was soon moved.

Excellent and expensive wine list.
