There were four occupants Vincent Wong had to consider when designing the perfect home for his family – himself, his wife, their daughter and his wife’s handbag collection.

There are now more than 50 designer bags snugly housed in velvet-lined drawers fitted inside a walk-in wardrobe that has been custom made to fit his wife’s treasured collection of arm candy.

“I measured everything she had,” says Wong, adding that the shelves pull out and the drawers are of different depths. “The handbags were the most challenging because they’re of different sizes and odd shapes. So it’s all been built to be flexible.” If that seems excessive, Wong, director of architecture and interior design company W & Associates, points out one important fact: “The handbags probably cost more than the wardrobe itself.”

Similar attention to detail is evident throughout the 2,300 sq ft Repulse Bay flat. “My home is my vision, without any client briefing or compromise,” says Wong.
