Hard core The girly affectations and saccharine styles of women's jewellery can get a bit too much at times, especially for life's modernists. Therefore it is good to see that Vivienne Tam's collection for jewellery brand TSL has shaken things up, with strong geometric shapes and interesting combinations that reflect elements within Chinese astrology. The 18-carat white- and rose-gold earrings with garnet (above right; HK$139,280) and the 18-carat yellow- and white-gold necklace (above left; HK$126,380) are simple, with industrial overtones. Carrying it off The picture-perfect Tom Ford is no stranger to polished sophistication and his range of handbags is no exception. The structured shiny red Natalia clutch in anaconda (abvoe right; HK$29,200 for medium size) features a large gold turn lock and comes with a detachable shoulder strap.
