The light fantastic Many a frequent traveller will regale you with the benefits of spending that extra little on a Tumi case, which besides looking pretty flash are near indestructible. Shoetonic precision German cars may have an unassailable global reputation but you would hesitate to say similar of German shoemakers. The deceptively named Lloyd, however, has been making quality footwear in Lower Saxony since 1888 and the brand is now gaining fans abroad. Harmonise Despite its preppy name and image, Harmont & Blaine is actually Italian and some of that European flair comes through in its leather jackets. Mr Niche Guy The luxury industry is changing, with many of the traditional giants losing out to more exclusive maisons such as Bottega Veneta - and it's not hard to see why when you consider Tomas Maier's recent collections. The designer's innovative fabrics and beautiful cuts are well balanced with the classical tenets of menswear. We love the ensemble of anthracite-coloured wool print jacket (HK$22,280), shirt (HK$4,180), wool trousers (HK$5,480), cotton tie (HK$1,680) and calf-leather shoe (all left; HK$7,980).
