To the max For easy sporty looks that nevertheless feel like they are high fashion, Italian label Sportmax has been something of a success story. We like the green mesh cropped jacket (HK$6,680) and matching skirt (HK$5,080) worn with a simple long white silky tank (all right; HK$2,480) as an upbeat outfit for spring. The checked dress (far right; HK$12,980) is beautifully tailored and perfect for work or cocktails. Sportmax is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 4228.
Use your loafer Diego Rossetti, of Fratelli Rossetti, told me last year that his family invented the modern tasseled loafer; and it seems they are still enamoured with this piece of history. We like the loafer with oversize tongue and yellow tassel (below left; HK$5,080) and the dainty nude vintage sandal (below right; HK$5,180). For the evening, there is the lovely and rather unusual two-tone sandal with perforated leather upper (below centre; HK$5,780). Fratelli Rossetti is in Gateway Arcade, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2175 5296.
Feeling horse Loewe’s bag of the season is the gorgeous Paseo (below; HK$17,900), inspired by the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. Shown here in three great spring hues, the bag has a buffalo exterior and a lining in colour-contrasting suede. Another favourite for fans of the Spanish luxury label is the whimsical, but pricier, Flamenco 30 Degrade (above; HK$26,950), which cleverly blends colours, and stars in the brand’s saucy spring ad campaign. Loewe is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 2522 0996.
