Behind the label: Omberry

Hongkongers Katherine Wong and Victoria Fong were tired of workout wear that failed to meet their standards of style. Quitting their jobs, in interior and product design, respectively, they launched Omberry, a fashion line that blends their twin passions: yoga and design.

childhood friends Wong and Fong share a sense of style that balances vintage shapes with subtle details and sleek silhouettes. Mixing traditional gym materials such as nylon and lycra with muted colour schemes (white, navy, the odd dash of berry), this is workout gear with flair.

the 1960s-inspired Audrey tank (far right; HK$498) has feminine cut-out details along the waist while the Kate tank (right; also HK$498) is inspired by ballet outfits and comes with an open back and neckline, to optimise flexibility. We also love the Alexa wrap (right, centre; HK$770), which comes in a cotton-spandex mix and has an oversized hood that can be unzipped and fitted around the neck when it's time to hit the town.
