Accessories designer Nancy Gonzalez is a household name in the United States, with fans ranging from Sarah Jessica Parker to Blake Lively. Although a selection of her chic exotic skin bags has been available in Hong Kong for many years, she recently opened her first freestanding boutique in the city, at IFC Mall.
The 580-square-foot space is inspired by the clean lines and rich materials of the art-deco era, and boasts opulent gold-leaf interiors and velvet upholstery. The boutique will feature a rotating selection of artworks from the Gonzalez family's collection.
Currently in store is the spring/summer 2013 collection, along with several limited-edition items made exclusively for Hong Kong customers. Highlights include the chic Cristina (named after Gonzalez's daughter), a structured bag with top handles made from metallic woven crocodile in shades of gold and bronze.
