Original spin Swedish denim label Acne has gone from strength to strength. This year, its transition into high fashion was well and truly rubber-stamped with a debut catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week. We still like some of the kooky basics the brand was built on, such as its dip-dye sleeveless shirt (above left; HK$3,595) and the gradation denim jacket (above right; HK$3,995). Acne is available at Maria Luisa, Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay, tel: 2907 2028.

Pack a punch Proenza Schouler's satchels are still all the rage. We love the luminescent python PS11 in green (above right; available for HK$38,500 at On Pedder, 16 Queen's Road Central, tel: 2118 3489). For a more low-key look, there's the soft-leather satchel in blue (above left; available for HK$17,500 at netaporter.com).

Shoe shining We like pairing simple ensembles with bright bold shoes. Try a chic tailored black dress or light knee-length floaty grey number with these bright neon peep-toe pumps (above left; HK$4,580) from Jimmy Choo. Metallics are also a great way to make a statement this season, and the futuristic-looking perforated silver and gold sandals (above right; HK$7,580), also from Jimmy Choo, will do the trick. The shoes are available at www.bkrm.com.

Pieces of Arte A girl needs a bit of glamour once in a while. Gorgeous, expensive-looking jewellery is a no-brainer but it doesn’t necessarily have to break the bank. From Spanish jewellery label Arte, we have the Gentle champagne pear-shaped ring (above left; HK$2,200), the Royal green oval emerald ring (above right; HK$3,000) and the Gentle lavender cushion-shaped earrings (below; HK$2,200). Arte is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2295 3980.
