Perfect pair Finding that ideal shoe brand – with that perfect designer who can effortlessly switch between casual trainers and formal heels – is like pursuing the Holy Grail for most fashionistas. Pierre Hardy comes pretty close to the mark, with his latest collection giving us plenty to babble about. The neon pink cutout trainer (top; HK$5,695) is fun, with enough style to separate it from standard sports shoes. We also love the tricolour sandal (above; HK$5,495), a heeled affair in denim and leather. Pierre Hardy is available at Maria Luisa, Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay, tel: 2907 2028.

What knit to wear Austrian designer Michaela Buerger may be more renowned for her monochrome, casual knitwear, but she’s becoming equally adept in the world of modern jewellery. We love her latest collection, including the collar necklace with triangle detail (above; HK$4,695), a bright blue-and-pink number straight out of 1980s New York. The collar necklace with Swarovski crystals (left; HK$4,995) may seem formal on the surface but closer inspection reveals studs and crossthatched knitting that bring a little naughtiness to the equation. Michaela Buerger is available at Maria Luisa.
