Family guys Two heads are better than one, especially if talent runs in the family. Think about it; the brothers Coen, Karamazov and Kemp (yes, those of Spandau Ballet fame) are all more memorable together than they are individually. Fratelli Rossetti also benefited immensely from the combined talents of founders Renzo and Renato and the family-run company is still in the business of creating quality men's shoes with an eccentric twist, under the guardianship of three brothers: Diego, Dario and Luca. From this season's offerings we love the quirky green leather loafer (above; HK$5,580) and the wonderful woven leather version (top; HK$7,180). Fratelli Rossetti is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2722 9674.

Sail spin The current shirt collection from Cesare di Pino is inspired by sailing on the Italian Riviera, which is all fine and dandy for those who have the time and money to do so. The rest of us will just have to make do with one of the brand's wonderful chambray shirts (above; HK$2,695), which come in a range of great colours. Cesare di Pino can be found at The Swank, The Landmark, Central, tel: 2810 0769.

Bag to the future With Oblivion, Elysium, After Earth, Gravity and many others hitting the screen this summer, it seems 2013 is going to be a science-fiction extravaganza. Hollywood’s current obsession might have something to do with us mortals looking to escapist fantasies for some time out from the recession. Or, more likely, they simply couldn’t go on milking the vampire/ zombie thing any longer. Either way, on those interstellar journeys make sure you don’t leave the galaxy without one of Lanvin’s latest bags, such as the large gunmetal-coloured tote (above left; HK$6,400) in a suitably technical fabric. Another favourite is the Major Tom-approved silver backpack in wrinkled calfskin (above right; HK$17,100). Lanvin is in New Henry House, 10 Ice House Street, Central, tel: 2205 0013.

The Z factor Zegna is all over the fashion news at the moment, what with the 50th anniversary of the Ermenegildo Zegna Wool Awards and the release of the brand's new fragrance, Uomo. We're also feeling big love for Zegna's spring-summer colours, particularly those which adorn its outstanding suits, such as the rich brown (jacket: HK$29,300; trousers: HK$12,600) worn with polo shirt (HK$6,800) and shoes (all above right; HK$5,950), and the striking blue (jacket: HK$29,300; trousers: HK$12,600) worn with shirt (HK$13,300), belt (HK$2,950) and leather shoes (all above left; HK$5,950). Ermenegildo Zegna is at 1 Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 3417 3088.
