Natural python and crocodile: in its raw state, untouched by colour - seen everywhere from Moncler and Stella McCartney to Hermès.
Slip dresses: early signs of a return to bias-cutting (seen in New York and London) at Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Sharon Wauchob and Haider Ackermann.
Ethnic and tribal: feathers, powerful tribal colours and prints adorning a more aggressive, powerful woman at Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and Roland Mouret.
Back to nature: roughened, grainy and organic textures at Bottega Veneta, Marni, Céline and Uma Wang.
Forests, flora and tropical fauna: spring blooms are central at Hermès, Dior, Balenciaga, Carven, Valentino and Elie Saab; sometimes organic and romantic, at others very techno.
Pleats please: not just fine, straight micro-pleating but draped or directed diagonally across the body. Knife-sharp and holographic at Marco de Vincenzo.
Shimmer and shine: glitter, shiny metallics and lamé are back in a big way. Lanvin shows sweet-wrapper hues, Sonia Rykiel's lamé has a feminine shimmer, Dior does metallic brocade dresses, Dolce & Gabbana has eye-popping gold and at Roberto Cavalli it's silver, beads and sequins.
 
It's all in the details
Hot headpieces: hammered-metal helmets at Alexander McQueen, epic showgirl feathers at Louis Vuitton, sporty sun visors at Marni and wild pheasant feathers in messy braids at Junya Watanabe. Our favourites are Hussein Chalayan's see-through, wide-brimmed umbrella hats.
Big on bling: minimalism be gone; stunning organic Dior necklaces dripping with jewels are jaw-dropping. Prada's crystal bras, Chanel's oversized pearl accessories and Céline's wild bags and oversized metallic jewellery.
Well belted: big belts are back. Medallion styles at Emilio Pucci, Roman coins at Dolce & Gabbana, studs at Balmain and thick, structured leather at Gianfranco Ferré and John Galliano.
