Who needs a brush and compact when you can have one of these handy eyeshadow wands?
Jane Iredale's Mystikol (HK$210) is a two-in-one powder eyeliner and pearlescent highlighter. Each of the five pens comes with two complementary shades that are perfect for creating the smoky-eye effect. Dark Topaz, for example, has a brown eyeliner on one side and a velvet rose highlighter on the other. Other options include Amethyst, which pairs royal purple with pearl, and Citrine, a metallic blend of bronzy ochre and gold. All are formulated with botanical ingredients and super-saturated pigments that are said to be safe even for use on sensitive skin.
Ilia Beauty's Multi-Stick (HK$385) contains 85 per cent organic ingredients and is designed for use on the cheeks, lips and eyes. The stick, which is easy to apply and gives a long-lasting finish, includes ingredients such as vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil to nourish the skin. The four shades to choose from are Tenderly (light pink), Cheek to Cheek (sienna red), I Put a Spell on You (tangerine) and All of Me (watermelon).
Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick (HK$230) has a water-resistant formula that, it is claimed, is crease-free and good for eight hours' wear. The round-tipped stick glides smoothly on the eyelid for a thin, even finish. It can be worn as an eyeliner or eyeshadow and there are more than a dozen colours to choose from, with names such as Smoke, Orchid (right) and Rose Gold.
Missha's Stay All Day Stick Eyes (HK$156) are designed to make colour matching easier by combining two "harmonised" eyeshadow hues in one stick. The five shades are gold/deep brown, beige/chocolate, pink/greyish brown, peach/khaki and white/blue. All feature a complex of amethyst, pearl and tourmaline to brighten and add shine to the skin, while jojoba seed and avocado oils help the waterproof product hold better and for longer.
