Beauty buzz: Leave-in mists

Vanessa Yung

Leave-in mists can be a great pick-me-up for hair and are perfect for travel and the time-poor.

John Masters Organics' Sea Mist Sea Salt Spray With Lavender (left; HK$240/266ml) helps create a natural "beach look", courtesy of sea salt, which adds texture and body and is good for maintaining curls. Organic lavender oil, meanwhile, protects the scalp and hair from dryness. The product is gluten-free and safe for dyed hair.

L'Occitane's Volumising Mist (second left; HK$180/100ml) is intended to give fine, dry hair a fuller and healthier look. A vegetable-based complex and five essential oils - artemisia, sweet orange, mint, pine and rosemary - make up its silicone-free, subtly scented formula.

Pureology's Pure Volume Instant Levitation Mist (second right; HK$190/145ml) is a two-in-one product said to create a more voluptuous look and protect colour-treated hair. Menthol, strengthening wheat protein and invigorating eucalyptus all work to counteract the damage from heat styling. All ingredients are 100 per cent vegan.

Kerastase's Volumifique Expansion Spray (right; HK$270/125ml) is part of a new collection that aims to give fine hair volume and hold. The spray's so-called Vita-Ciment Complex restores and strengthens hair, while contouring polymers enhance shape.
