Beauty buzz: coloured eyeliners

Black is timeless but that doesn’t mean you can’t perk things up with a coloured eyeliner, writes Vanessa Yung

Dolce & Gabbana’s The Glam Liner Intense Liquid Eyeliner (HK$285) is available in five shades including dahlia and peacock. The glossy, intensely pigmented liner is waterproof and boasts a long-lasting, smudge-free finish. The very fine tip of the brush means you can create clean lines in one stroke.

Max Factor’s Excess Intensity Eyeliner (HK$88) now comes in four new shades: aqua, green, gold and silver, in addition to the classic black and charcoal hues. Not the most precise option, the twist-up pencil is better suited to creating smoky eyes by blending the product lightly with a brush or finger tip.

Lancome’s Artliner 24H (HK$220) comes in a choice of 10 bold, metallic shades such as turquoise and amethyst, all of which help to make the eyes “pop”. Formulated with a flex-polymer complex, the liner has a glide-on, vinyl-like effect that is said to last all day, hence the name.

Orbis’ Liquid Eyeliner Navy Planet (HK$169) is a limitededition product launched alongside the brand’s five other summer essentials. Lily and royal jelly essences are infused to nourish skin and improve the liner’s adherence, while waterand oil-proof double block powder helps it to stay in place.
