Almost half the ingredients in Absolution’s Le Sérum Anti-Soif (HK$430/50ml) are organic. Aloe vera and fucocert (a plant-based active ingredient) lend their hydrating powers while elderberry flower extract calms, softens and promotes an even skin tone. The moisturising and antioxidant serum also contains alpine skullcap, which acts as a lipid restorer and an anti-inflammatory. Wild pansy extract, blueberry and sage hydrosol brighten skin and tighten pores.

Alsace’s Truffle Elixir (HK$1,480/30ml) is one of nine products from the French brand’s latest Truffle Skincare series that incorporate the protein and amino acids found in the “black diamond”. The serum, to be applied to the face and neck, not only offers hydration but also penetrates deep into the skin to repair and strengthen cells for a firmer, healthier looking complexion.

Isa Knox’s Te’rvina Waterfull Repairing Serum (HK$998/50ml) is the result of a collaboration between the Korean beauty brand and the CHA Placenta Institute in Seoul. It features two patented complexes, rHPP-8 and rHPP-M, which mimic the placental protein to retain moisture and regenerate skin. Use after a toner and massage in to encourage absorption.

The essential oil-infused Bien-Être Serum by NuBo (HK$790/50ml) is said to rejuvenate both mood and skin. The soothing blend of juniper berry, citrus and vanilla extracts, together with pro-vitamin C and the brand’s own active molecules, namely phyto-endorphins, also work to hydrate, detoxify and boost the skin’s renewal rate. The serum can also be used as a bath oil.
