British designer Kit Neale parades pop culture in vibrant prints

Daniel Kong

Kit Neale launched his eponymous label in 2012, celebrating a design philosophy built on rich textures and vibrant prints. The designer has had a busy schedule thus far, working on both his label and his print and illustration design company. To date, the brand has shown three collections at London Fashion Week and London Collections: Men. Neale worked for Gareth Pugh, Opening Ceremony and MiPac before setting out to impress upon the world his wild and zany looks.

you can't take Kit Neale too seriously. The label's references to pop culture and child-like illustrations will appeal to the young at heart. Extreme sports fans could pull off the Kit Neale look from head-to-toe while those looking for a more toned-down aesthetic could pair his pieces with minimal basics and still get the wow factor.

we're lusting over the jacket (top right; HK$5,290) with a whimsical print and tough tailoring details, which would be best worn with raw denim jeans and a pair of roughed-up suede desert boots. Alternatively, the cosy blood-red jumper (above right; HK$4,290) would be great for lounging around or those slightly hungover Sunday brunches.

Kit Neale is available at Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, Central, tel: 3695 3388.
