Edge of allegiance Jason Wu is branching out from his traditional aesthetic with an accessories line designed with Italian jewellers Pluma that rates edgy over classic. Handcrafted by artisans in Tuscany, the 24-carat yellow and rose gold-plated brass pieces include the bracelet (above left; HK$2,190), necklace (above right; HK$5,490) and ring (above centre; HK$1,490). Jason Wu for Pluma is available at Harvey Nichols, Pacific Place, Admiralty.
Yeah, baby, yeah With shoes that just ooze mojo, Prada's summer footwear collection appears to be a nod to the dandy Austin Powers. The label's sedate clothing this season will ensure all eyes are drawn south, to elaborately embroidered heels and patterned boots in python skin, suede and calfskin. The floral slip-ons (above right; HK$5,800) will help you stand out from the crowd but if you want something truly show-stopping, there's the embroidered tan platforms (above left; HK$11,450). Prada is in Alexandra House, Central.
Sac it to 'em Last month, Giorgio Armani celebrated 40 years in the business with the unveiling in Milan, Italy, of Silos, a museum of his life's work. A-listers Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio and Hilary Swank jetted across the pond to pay tribute, while Italian screen siren Sophia Loren showed her support, "[as] always, just like real friends do". A new bag, Le Sac 11, was also launched to mark the anniversary, with the number referring to the date of Armani's birthday and the street number of the company's Milan headquarters. We love the miniature totes in pastel blue (above right; HK$19,000) and red (above left; HK$16,000). Giorgio Armani is in Chater House, Central.
